Yuko Mohri: In Concert
Barbican Centre · The Curve · London · –
The Japanese artist Yuko Mohri transforms The Curve with a new site-responsive commission exploring states of flux and acts of repair through light, sound and kinetic sculpture featuring Barbican objects. Her sculptures often combine ordinary objects, from umbrellas to feather dusters and apples to xylophones, with what she terms 'unstable elements' such as magnetism, humidity, air, water and gravity. The continuously transforming installation responds to the gallery's atmospheric conditions and to the Barbican's current period of renovation.
