Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio

The Museum of Modern Art · Floor 6 (entire floor) · New York · –

Surveys Constantin Brancusi's (1876–1957) sculpture through his Paris studio at impasse Ronsin, where he lived and worked from 1916 until his death. Filling MoMA's entire sixth floor, it shows rarely lent sculptures, hand-carved furniture and bases, films, photographs, tools and archival material from the Centre Pompidou's Atelier Brancusi alongside MoMA's own holdings and local loans. It is part of a series made possible by the temporary closure of the Atelier Brancusi during the renovation of the Centre Pompidou's Paris building.
